OUR PHILOSOPHY

Our Training Philosophy

Helping you understand and connect with your dog

Our Philosophy

In 2024 dogs are looked at as members of our family not just pets. Dogs have moved from our backyards and the dog house into our homes and beds. As this has happened it's easy to forget that dogs are still animals with animal habits, instincts and wants. As our relationships evolves so does our need for understanding what we need to give our dogs.

Dogs want to be dogs and do dog things. This doesn’t always align with our human world. From jumping up on guests to digging in the yard, sometimes we just want to tell our dogs NOT to do that. Other times we can see our dogs getting into mischief and don’t quite connect that to their need for mental stimulation.

Our dogs also have a deep desire to understand what is going on as they go through their day. Neither dogs nor humans like to be confused. This is where training comes in.

Training develops a communication system between you and your dog so you can tell them what you do and don’t want from them. The most obvious benefit is in alleviating behavior problems and with a proactive vs reactive approach training can ensure those problems never happen in the first place. The less obvious and often overlooked benefit is creating an outlet your dog needs and wants.

"The first reason everyone should get a dog is for enjoyment and our goal should always be to continue to enjoy them even if we have to get through some challenging parts along the way." - Louis Magniccari

Our Mission

To help people have the best relationship with their dogs. This is achieved through formal training, helping people get to know their dog on a deeper level and making sure people are meeting their dog's needs.

Our Training

The training services we provide will not only help you understand how to formally train your dog, but also be able to understand how to identify their unique traits. The better we know our dogs the better we can communicate and give them the individual support they need.

There are many different types of boarding and we focus on In-Home Style Boarding.

We often mistake compliance with connection. CCC teaches you the difference and how to actually teach and maintain authentic connection with your dog.
